Handover
Obstetrics & Gynaecology was a supernumerary job for me as an FY1. This meant lots of senior decisions, theatre time, asking for help, and having all my nights and weekends free!
No real learning curve, but still a very interesting speciality if you are surgically-minded.
My hours were 8-5 Monday to Friday and sometimes even 8-1. The pay is terrible but at least I got my free time back.
